Black ice sucks.....my mom and some others were travelling in a big E-series van sometime in the 80s, and would up on black ice going down a hill. They went straight through a corner into someones front yard, and only a tree stopped them from going into the front window of the house. Glad you're alright!

Same thing happened to me last winter....sunny morning, road looked dry everywhere....was rounding a not-terribly sharp right corner at 50kph, then back end just stepped out out of nowhere, I corrected left, but then the front wheels came off the ice onto pavement and bit hard, car then 180’d left and I backed into a guardrail....$1350 in body work later and it’s PRETTY MUCH back to normal, but you can tell the rear bumper cover doesn’t line up 100% anymore...

Moral of the story is be careful out there people!
